Routine Childhood Immunisations

Here is information about the routine childhood immunisations recommended for your child. This includes details on the vaccines your child will receive at different stages, why they are important for their health, and how they help protect against serious diseases.

Recently, there have been outbreaks of diseases such as measles and whooping cough in parts of the UK, including London, and in previous years, there were concerns about polio cases in wastewater samples.

These events highlight the ongoing importance of immunisations. You will also find helpful links to more detailed guidance and resources to support you through the vaccination process.

Please ensure you provide us with an up-to-date copy of your child's immunisation history and ensure the red-book is brought to each appointment.

Please do not ignore requests to provide up to date contact details, immunisation records and please ensure you respond to invites for immunisations promptly to ensure your child is protected.

If you wish for your child not to be vaccinated you will be required to see the Practice Nurse to discuss the risk involved and so we can ensure you have been provided with all the information you need to make this important decision, you will be required to sign a refusal form also.

If you would like an evening or weekend appointment, please call 020 8519 3999 and book in.

If you are hesitant and still unsure if you want your child to be vaccinated, please let us know and we can put you in touch with the child immunisation team who can provide further information.
