We are trying to reduce footfall to the practice as much as possible in order to prevent spread of COVID-19 infection and reduce demand on the practice therefore we have introduced the following changes in line with BMA / NHE guidelines:

Documents

All fit notes/letters/request forms for investigations etc will be sent electronically. Failing that, they will be posted to the patient. Patients must not come to the surgery to pick them up.

Evidence for COVID-19-related absence from work will be provided by NHS 111 or should be waived by the employer. See 111 online for more information.

Repeat Medication

Electronic Prescribing is the default method of providing prescriptions. Patients who do not have a nominated pharmacy should nominate one asap with their chosen pharmacy.

If rarely paper is required, then it must be collected by the pharmacy only.

Pharmacies also must limit visits to the practice and arrange a set visiting time with the Practice.
