We have a flexible appointment system that allows patients to book routine appointments around other commitments while offering same day care in urgent cases when needed. Please note that routine appointments will not be available on Mondays and Fridays as these days will be for same day appointments only.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind you that one appointment is for one problem only. As you can understand, GPs need more time to deal with your problems as each appointment is only 10 minutes.

Please ensure you turn up on time for your appointment. As you know, we are a big surgery and therefore cannot see patients if they are more than 5 minutes late for their appointment.

Emergency Appointments

If you require urgent medical attention that cannot wait for a routine appointment, you will be asked for a contact number and a brief explanation of the medical emergency. A GP or senior Nurse Practitioner will then give you a call back and either offer treatment over the phone or book you an appointment where appropriate. If an emergency appointment is needed please contact the Practice as early as possible during surgery hours, this means as close to 8am as possible. In a life-threatening emergency please call 999.

Telephone Apppointments

Separate to the daily Telephone Triage system we use for urgent appointments, patients can also book a routine telephone call with a GP for things that don't require a face-to-face consultation. These can be helpful if you feel that you don't need a physical examination or have a clinical query such as discussing results.

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. It is practice policy to review the registration of patients who continually fail to attend their appointments ultimately resulting in removal from the practice list.
